Asylums
Haunted Asylums: Walls Where Hope Fell Silent
Once, these corridors were filled with the tears of painful partings. Desperate families, clinging to the hope of a miracle cure, brought their loved ones here, trusting in the promise of healing. But medicine in those days was a dark frontier. It was an era of terrifying malpractice, where new treatments were forged through fatal trial and error, and patients became involuntary subjects in cruel, unchecked experiments.
Yet, not everyone within these walls was ill. To dispose of inconvenient heirs, former lovers, or rivals, people used the guise of "mental instability" to forcibly lock the sane behind these heavy doors. Within these high walls, the line between reason and madness was erased forever.
When the Doctors Were More Terrifying Than the Disease
The horrors that took place behind closed ward doors still chill the blood of those who uncover them. Often, truly twisted minds hid behind the masks of esteemed professors, while their "patients" remained sane until their very last breath.
✥ Abandoned Souls: the clinics have long been shuttered, the equipment has rusted away, and the doctors have turned to dust. But the patients remain here to this day.✥ Hostile Silence: they do not wish for their restless peace to be disturbed by curious onlookers. Those who spent their lives in forced confinement do not welcome uninvited guests.
✥ Echoes of the Ward: you may hear a soft whisper or a sudden, piercing scream—a warning to those who dare to enter.
If you catch the sharp scent of antiseptic or hear the screech of metal dragging across the floor—leave immediately. The patients of this clinic are still waiting for their final rounds.
